On Thursday, President Donald Trump doubled down on his controversial shift on the United States' policy on Middle East peace while speaking while speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Davos. Trump claimed that the US would move the Israeli-Palestinian peace process forward, as the parties would no longer need to address the status of the holy city, as the topic of Jerusalem has been taken 'off the table." While Trump confirmed on Thursday that he believed US aid payments to Palestine are still "on the table" for negotiations. The US still has not presented its much-discussed peace plan for the Middle East, however Trump said Thursday, "It's a great proposal for the Palestinians. I think it's a very good proposal for Israel."
